AAI sanctions Rs 500 cr for Chandigarh Airport Phase I

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has sanctioned around Rs 500 crore for the first phase of the Chandigarh International Airport project. Of this; Rs 250 crore is for the terminal building over 314,500 sq m; Rs 50 crore for external development; Rs 90 crore for apron construction, Rs 35 crore for hangar construction, while Rs 40 crore will be for the cargo area.
