Adani Mundra Port eyes Aussie's Abbot Port

Adani Mundra Ports, the ports division of Adani Group, is planning to acquire Australia's Abbot Port Terminal for $1bn. Abbot Port, which will have a capacity of 50 mn tonne by mid-2011, services coal transportation in northern Bowen region and developing Galilee Basin. Adani will also develop port and gas assets in Australia as part of its international expansion plans.
