CR current switch

Central Railways plans to switch to 25KV AC traction from 1,500V DC between Kalyan-Thane and Thane-LTT (fifth and sixth) line. The conversion has been planned as CR feels that it has complied with all the directives issued by the commissioner of railway safety (CRS). With the conversion agreements filed, CR is awaiting agreements from the CRS.
