Centre approves Rs.5,261-crore road projects for Punjab

The Centre has approved several major road projects at a cost of Rs 5,261 crore. This includes four laning of Patiala-Bathinda highway, to be completed on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode at a cost of Rs 1,238 crore and will cover a total 128 km stretch on the National Highways-64. The Road Transport and Highways Ministry will carry out the four-laning of 94 km of Sangrur-Khanouri highway up to Haryana border.
