The Union Government has cleared a whopping Rs 36.93 bn funds for more than 700 roads and a large number of new bridge projects in Jammu and Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna. <br />

A total of 4821.31 km roads and 3,084 m bridges in length, will be constructed during 2018-2019 in the state. Of the total amount, Rs 17.28 bn crore will be spent on upgradation of the existing state roads.<br />
