Centre clears projects worth Rs.20,000 cr in J&K

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has plans to construct 30-km of roads per day starting from 2016. The ministry has already cleared projects worth Rs 40,000 crore. The projects that have received clearance include Rs 20,000-crore highway projects in Jammu & Kashmir. The J&K projects include two-laning and four-laning of national highways in the state and some road projects in Leh and Ladakh.
