Delhi approves metro phase III
The Delhi Government has approved the phase III of the metro project, the budget for which is Rs 21,468 crore. The layout and design of these new corridors has been recommended to DMRC by the government participated agencies RITES and DIMTS for this phase. These six corridors proposed for phase III are supposed to cover an area of around 70 km of which around 31 km will be the elevations and around 39 km will be underground. The project is likely to be completed in five years. The Metro runs a fleet of 129 trains on a network of 138 km that has 117 stations.
