Demand for expansion of Mangalore airport runway

The state government has proposed the expansion of the existing of Mangalore airport runway by another 1,000 m. The existing length of the runway is 2,450 m.The government has earmarked Rs 121 crore for the acquisition of 185 acre near the airport.
