Dhamra port to handle SAIL vessels

Odisha´s Dhamra Port will handle Steel Authority of India Ltd´s (SAIL) two capesize vessels with a capacity 175,000 dwt upward. Each of these vessels has an average parcel load of about 1.5 lakh tonne of coking coal for the public sector steel giant. These vessels will call the port in a few months´ time. The port owned and operated by Dhamra Port Company Ltd, a JV between Tata Steel and L&T, handled another capesize vessel with a parcel load of more than 1.63 lakh tonne of steam coal for NTPC Ltd.
