Rs 3,000 crore will be invested by the Central Government in the Sagar Port at West Bengal. A rail-cum-road bridge connecting the main land and Sagar Port will be a part of this project. The project will ensure increasing handling of large vessels along with security checks across the Bay of Bengal region.
