Visakhapatnam Port will enter into a partnership with IMC (Indian Molasses Company) to construct a liquid cargo berth at its inner harbour. The project will be based on public-partnership model. IMC will invest around Rs 55 crore to set up the 160 m berth and other handling equipment on a DBFOT (design, built, finance, operate and transfer) basis. The berth will have a capacity to handle 1.5 mtpa of liquid cargo.
