Infrastructure panel okays expansion on NH 8, NH 12

The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved the development of six-laning of NH8 between Ahmedabad and Vadodara and four-laning of NH12 between Kota and Teendhar in Rajasthan. The six-laning of 102.3 km between Ahmedabad-Vadodara under the NHDP phase V will be done on the DBFOT basis in BOT (toll) mode of delivery. The project cost is estimated at Rs 2,537.76 crore. The four-laning of 88.09 km between Kota and Teendhar is being done under the NHDP phase III on DBFOT basis in BOT mode of delivery. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 580.79 crore.
