KPT to build waterways in Gujarat rivers

The Kandla Port Trust (KPT) will proposedly build waterways in Tapi and Narmada rivers in Gujarat. The Inland Waterways Authority of India is in the process of finalising the detailed project reports for the development of the waterways. The step was taken after the technical feasibility report declared the waterways in the two rivers as viable. KPT will invest the funds required for the development and maintenance of these waterways.
