Khed airport amid land troubles

The Khed airport project, to be constructed at the site initially marked for the Khed SEZ in Rajgurunagar off the Pune-Nashik highway is facing land troubles related to the transfer and acquisition of land required for the project. The state authorities have identified 1,260 hectare, including 800 hectare initially acquired for the Khed SEZ by MIDC, which has to be transferred to Maharashtra Airport Development Company, the special planning authority for the airport project.
