The widening of the Kundapur-Talapady national highway project in Mangalore, which is one-and-half years behind schedule is expected to resume soon. Navayuga Udupi Tollway Pvt Ltd (NUTPL), a subsidiary of Hyderabad-based Navayuga-KPCL Consortium, which had bagged the contract, had stopped the work for more than six months ago due to financial crises. The 90 km-stretch will be widened as a four-lane road between Kundapur and Surathkal and from Nanthoor Junction to Talapady in the state.
