Lifts for passengers at Kalupur railway station

The Ahmedabad division of the Western Railways has decided to install four sets of lifts for passengers. Each platform Nos. 1-7 – will have one lift. The lifts will be installed at a cost of Rs 74.24 lakh. The railways will also repair luggage lift for platform 1 and the other installed on platform 6-7 for Rs 32 lakh.The railways has recently launched luggage trolleys and battery operated mini-vehicles to metamorphose the station into a passenger-friendly railway terminus. The lift would be operational by the end of this financial year.
