Metro Rail revises height of elevated corridor
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has approved Metro Rail's plan to construct an elevated corridor to the airport along the GST Road, Chennai. Construction of the elevated corridor was delayed as the AAI had objected the elevated route citing flight safety. Consequently, the Metro Rail authorities submitted a revised plan reducing height of the elevated corridor from 27 m to 6.5 m near the stretch of the GST Road close to the fight approach path of the secondary runway.
