The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways recently launched a 6.5 km long two-lane tunnel - 'Z-Morh' in Jammu & Kashmir. The project will be constructed on BOT (annuity) mode. It is expected to cost approximately Rs 2,680 crore on the basis of approv-ed guidelines. Further, the tunnel will be built on Srinagar-Leh section of NH-1 and will facilitate all-weather road connectivity between Srinagar and Leh.
