NHAI finalises tender for flyover works

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has finalised the tender for the construction of the Kazhakoottam flyover in Thiruvananthapuram. The lowest bidder, a JV firm Rameshwar Dayal and Son-Cherian Varkey Construction Company (RDS-CVCC), has received a letter of acceptance from NHAI. The total cost of the project including land acquisition is estimated to be Rs 3.56 bn. RDS-CVCC became the lowest bidder by quoting Rs 1.95 bn for civil construction. An agreement with the contractor will be formed by NHAI and the work will commence in two months.
