Phase-I of Bengaluru monorail to cost Rs 3,000 cr
Bengaluru-based provider of steel intensive structures, Geodesic Techniques has pegged the cost of the Phase-I of 60 km monorail planned in Bengaluru at Rs 3,000 crore. The 15.7 km Phase-I will run from Majestic to Agara. The monorail will be based on the Swiss Challenge model.
Geodesic has finalised the detailed project report for the proposed monorail. It has roped in Scomi Engineering Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysia -based Scomi Group Bhd, to jointly bid for the monorail project under design, build, own, operate, and transfer basis. Nearly 30 per cent of the project cost will come via equity, while the rest will come via debt.
