Railways to form multi-modal transportation system

Railways is planning a multi-modal transportation system in coordination with other agencies to serve the passengers in a better way. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has acknowledged problems concerning train services, and suggested an integrated policy to address these. The system will be aimed at integrating various modes of transportation like bus and Metro service with train schedule to provide end-to-end service to commuters. Contact: Ministry of Railways.
