The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways plans to include four national highways -NH-702, NH-702A, NH-02C and NH-702 B - in Nagaland. NH-702, to begin from its junction NH-2 near Chantongia connecting Longleng, Longhching, Mon, Lapa and Tizit, will terminate at its junction with new NH-215 near Sapekhati in the state of Assam. Further, NH 702A will start from its junction with new NH-2 near Mokokchung, connecting Zunheboto and Phek in the state and terminate at Jessami near the new NH-29 in Manipur.
