Rs.76 cr allocated for Sikkim greenfield airport

The government has allocated Rs 76 crore since 2013 for the development of a boundary wall of a greenfield airport at Pakyong in Sikkim.This apart, the civil aviation ministry has also undertaken the construction of three hangars for A-321 aircraft at the Guwahati airport in Assam. Work has also been undertaken for expansion of the apron at Jorhat airport in Assam, upgrade of Tezu airport in Arunachal Pradesh, and expansion of apron with link taxiway to accommodate three A-321 and three ATR-72 aircraft at Imphal airport in Manipur.
