SE Railway freight loading up 11.6 PER CENT

South Eastern Railway had loaded 11.84 mn tonne of freight last month against 10.61 mn tonne during the corresponding month last year, registering a growth of 11.59 per cent. Of this, 6.99 mt was iron ore, which grew more than 25 per cent. The April freight earnings at Rs 893.24 crore improved by Rs 19.00 crore.
