SECL urged to fund rail project
South-East Central Railway (SECR) is expecting the South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) to fund construction of railway line between Raigarh and Mand covering a distance of about 70 km.
Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd has agreed to fund the construction of a rail line between Jharsuguda and Vasundhara mines. The cost of the project, to be complete with handling and other facilities, will be Rs 700 crore. Similarly, the construction of 90 km long rail line between Dalli-Rajhara and Rowghat for transportation of iron ore for Bhilai Steel Plant is being funded by Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).
