In a boost to urban infrastructure development in Ahmedabad, finance minister Nitin Patel has announced an allocation of Rs 8.67 bn for the six-laning of the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway. The project, already under way, will have nine flyovers and rail-over-bridges including a 4.5 km elevated corridor.
