Six new airstrips in Gujarat

The Gujarat Government will develop six new airstrips in smaller towns in the state. In Ankleshwar and Dahej in central Gujarat, Palitana and Ambaji in northern Gujarat and Morbi and Dwarka in Saurashtra region. Land levelling and construction of boundary wall has been completed for the Ankleshwar-based airstrip. In Palitana and Dahej, the government has already completed land mapping and demarcation. In Morbi, the process of land transfer and providing alternate route for villagers is underway. Land mapping is underway for Dwarka airstrip, while the search for suitable land is in progress for Ambaji airstrip.
