TNMB to develop Colachel Port

The Tamil Nadu Maritime Board (TNMB) wants to develop the Colachel Port into a major port. It has initiated the process by asking iMaritime Consultants, Mumbai, to prepare a techno-economic feasibility report on the development of the project. Colachel is close to the international shipping route and it has sufficient draught to attract large ships.
