Increase in the price of cement and peaking out of cost pressures may improve the margins of cement companies, according to a research report by Emkay Global Financial Services. The report noted that despite subdued volume growth, cement price movement in September quarter remained favourable negating the impact of lo-wer volumes. This coupled with peaking out of cost pressures is expected to result in healthy margins and there could be marginal upgrades in earnings estimates for companies.
