Vishwakarma Cements to operate mine-based plant

Vishwakarma Cements, the first private cement producer in the country, will operate its mine-based factory, Ghorahi Cement Industry by July 2011. The new plant at Laxmipur VDC of Dang will have total production capacity of 1,200 tonne of clinkers per day. Vishwakarma’s units will consume 60 per cent of the clinkers, while the remaining will be available to other manufacturers. Vishwakarma’s clinker plant will have an annual production capacity of 360,000 tonne, which will meet 14.4 per cent of the annual cement demand in the country.
