Chhattisgarh govt to appoint quality monitors for bridges and roads

Chhattisgarh Rural Road Development Agency, under the state Panchayat and Rural Development department, has invited applications for the appointing State Quality Monitors under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

Applications have been invited from Civil Engineers retired from the post of Executive Engineer or equal post from any Government Institution, Public sector undertaking (PSU) of central, state government or their affiliated offices. Graduates in Civil Engineering working or retired from IITs, Government Engineering Colleges, NITs or Government Research Institutes can additionally apply.

Besides, faculty members with experience in designing, supervising and working as a consultant for road development or bridge design can also apply. As per an official release, candidates with government service are desired and must have at least five years’ experience of road construction, out of the past ten years, before their retirement for inspection of road construction works. Whereas for bridge inspection, candidates with eight years of experience in planning, designing or executing bridge development those with at least four years of experience in bridge project execution would be preferred.

Candidates having both professional qualifications and field experience in road and bridge inspection can apply for both jobs. Candidates who can work on computers and smartphones or are keen to learn them in a specified time can apply for this post. Candidates with any tainted background, including corruption, would not be taken into consideration.
