South Assam's district of Cachar recently witnessed the commissioning of a 25 MW solar power project that will feed power into the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) grid.
It is the last of the four-phase, having a total output capacity of 90 MW. The other three power units of the project are located in Kamrup, Udalguri and Nagaon districts. This solar power project will operate under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with APDCL. It will provide power to the state of Assam at a tariff of Rs 3.34 per KWh.
