The redevelopment plans for Nagpur station include not only service buildings but also a segregated arrival and departure concourse with dedicated foot overbridge (FOB) and a roof plaza. The station will also be equipped with lifts, escalators, and efficient traffic flow systems, featuring basement and surface parking facilities on both sides.

As part of the 'Amrit Bharat' program, 15 stations within the Nagpur division have been carefully selected for development. Furthermore, Godhani station is currently undergoing transformation into a satellite station, offering a range of new amenities and services.
