According to officials the government of Uttar Pradesh and these businesses recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In the state's new textile and apparel industries, waste management, and manufacturing sectors, around 16700 youth will find work. On the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a delegation from the government of Uttar Pradesh last month travelled to Japan and South Korea to extend invites for the Global Inventors Summit. The delegation was led by Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh.
The team attended 22 meetings with business and government representatives and received nine investment offers totalling INR 254.56 billion, which are expected to result in the creation of 17,000 employment. Four of these plans have had MoUs for a combined INR 183.50 billion signed on them. Team Yogi met with Samsung Electronics, Coupang, and the Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND) in South Korea. B2G talks with NTT Global, Seiko Advance Ltd., Mitsui & Co., and Chubu Electric Power were held in Japan.
One World Corporation, Mitsui & Co. Global Logistics, Japan India Industry Promotion Association, Nissenken Quality Evaluation Center Tokyo Laboratory, and other significant investors held fruitful discussions with Team Yogi considering investment. The textile and apparel sectors in UP will get investments from the Japan India Industry Promotion Association and the Nissenken Quality Evaluation Center Tokyo Laboratory of INR 25 and INR 100 billion respectively. As a result, 5,000 and 10,000 new jobs will be created in UP, respectively.
