Ramco Group to invest Rs.35 bn to expand cement capacity

The Ramco Group is investing Rs 35 bn to increase its capacities, funded through internal accruals and borrowings. It is planning an upcoming 3.15-mn tonne plant in Kurnool, along with increasing the capacity at its existing unit in Jayanthipuram. Reportedly, the company can now produce  12-14 mtpa, and expects to reach 18-20 mtpa if its new projects are in line over the next two years.
