ACC commissions a 1.6-mtpa grinding mill in Tikaria, Uttar Pradesh

ACC has announced the commissioning of a 1.6-mtpa Grinding Unit (GU) at Tikaria in Uttar Pradesh. According to a statement from the Holcim India group, the extra capacity will add 1.6 mtpa of cement to the existing capacity of 2.31 mtpa, bringing the total capacity at Tikaria to 3.91 mtpa. The new factory will produce low-carbon cement products that are good for the environment. With India's cement demand expected to rise, development of capital expenditure projects to enhance clinker and cement capabilities are being launched around the country. The company is on track to enhance its capacity to 2.7 mt of clinker and 4.8 mtpa of cement by 2024.
