Birla to expand cement capacity

The Board of Birla Corporation, at a recent meeting, reportedly approved a proposal to expand the existing capacity of its grinding cement plant at Durgapur by installing a cement grinding unit, ie, one cement mill (VRM) with cement capacity of 0.24 mn tonne per annum. The capacity of the grinding cement plant at Durgapur will increase to 1.54 mtpa after this expansion.
