Dalmia Bharat aiming to emerge stronger

Dalmia Bharat is taking initiatives like cost reduction, marketing initiatives and premiumisation to emerge stronger despite the slump in the market due to COVID-19 and the lockdown. The firm is planning to position itself and strengthen its logistics by ensuring greater emphasis on digitalisation and remote-controlled plants. It is is undertaking 7.8 mn tonne of brownfield capacity expansion in eastern India. Reportedly, Dalmia Bharat's revenue from operation in FY2020 stood at Rs.96.74 bn. The company has also committed to be carbon negative by 2040.
