GSI finds 690 mn tonne cement reserves in Jaisalmer

The Geological Survey of India (GSI) recently submitted an exploration report of SMS cement grade limestone in three blocks of Jaisalmer. As per the report, the blocks contain 690 mn tonne of SMS cement grade limestone.
The report also mentioned that the SMS grade limestone reserves in Ramgarh spread over 2.5 sq km is estimated to be at 9 mn tonne besides 4.67 mn tonne chemical grade and 180 mn tonne cement grade limestone.
In the Gorum Khan ki Dhani, spread over 5 sq km, 76 mn tonne SMS grade and 135 mn tonne cement grade limestone is estimated. With the help of GSI, exploration activities in 55 blocks will be undertaken this year.
