Conmat, with its CONMAT CE-200F Paver Finisher, has created an industrial marvel that not only enables the machine to negotiate all curves, but also ensures greater smoothness in its operations.

CONMAT India, the Vadodara-based, highly professional company, is growing at a very fast pace. The company is the manufacturer of hi-tech mechanised in-situ concrete pavers upto 32 m wide and 600 mm slab thickness for various applications including airport runway, taxiway, apron, city roads, parking lots, bridge decks and irrigation canals.

The company’s product CONMAT CE-200F Paver Finisher using 3-point finishing systems is designed to vibrate, consolidate and finish the concrete slabs with varying thickness of 1” to 5” with internal vibrator and 5” to 9” inbuilt pan vibrator and above 9” to 24” inbuilt needle vibrators. The vibratory cylinder, supplied as a standard feature mounted on carriage moves transversely across the slab to be paved wherein the machine runs longitudinally over the pre-laid and leveled rail, kept just outside the side shuttering on either side.

The vibratory cylinder consists of a rotating extra long screw auger, rotating vibratory cylinder and finishing trawler. The rotating screw auger serves the purpose of pushing and levelling the excess concrete for the cylinder to consolidate and finish. The cylinder vibrates and rotates with the frequency, amplitude and rpm adjusted to produce vibration equal to or more than the resonance frequency of green concrete providing optimum vibration to concrete before consolidation. The finishing trowel seal and texture the finished surface. These members of the 3-point finishing systems work in conjunction to make an initial consolidation pass and a final finishing pass in each carriage cycle. The inbuilt pan vibrator or needle vibrators are electrically operated and mounted in front of Auger for imparting in-depth vibration to the slab.

The carriage travel speed within the travel span of main frame can be varied and controlled by variable speed drive. The main frame of fixed form cylinder pave is of lattice type construction, all steel welded pin connected main frame of various lengths interchangeable sections. These are held by heavy duty jack at four corners. These jacks are adjustable to get the desired thickness. One set of drive and idler bogies are fitted on to these jacks for traction movement.

The skewable paver enables the machine to negotiate any curve that might encounter during the paving process. Further the finishing members on the carriage can also be skewed 360° for greater maneuverability and to keep the cylinder perpendicular to the slab length while paving. This ensures greater smoothness. The paver running rails which are kept just outside the side shuttering are to be aligned and leveled.
