The factory envelope is built in a way that more than 70 per cent of the materials are recyclable and can be reused. Clean air emission by installing cyclone separators and stacks further helps in keeping up with the indoor air quality (IAQ). Talking sustainability, to improve the environment, the company has provided more than 30 per cent of the area under plantation. Paper consumption has been reduced and smart sheet software is used during the entire process of manufacturing. No hazardous materials or chemicals of concern are used through the entire manufacturing process of all the products complying with RoHS norms. More than 40 per cent of the materials used are instilled with rapidly renewable materials. All the solid waste generated at Featherlite factories in the form of sawdust, cut pieces of wood and steel, plastic, cardboard, etc, are recycled or reused by ancillary industries, making it a zero waste company.
All the steel and aluminium sections are procured cut to size, therefore, minimising any wastage. The firm’s core expertise lies in manufacturing innovative and cost-effective customised office furniture that is functional and sustainable in nature.
Featherlite is truly leading by example, and paving a path for a more viable and sustainable future.
