Fire-rated counter shutters are custom-built to exact opening specifications using compact guides, slats, brackets and hoods for a smooth profile. These shutters can be activated by a thermal fusible link release unit when the local temperature reaches 74oC. The shutter will self-close under a controlled descent. This feature also benefits from a manual test and re-set facility. Alternatively, the shutter can be linked into the building’s fire alarm system via a 24-volt, solenoid release unit. 

If a fire separating barrier is required without the need for security, a fire curtain could be an option that can be considered.  

Gandhi Automations also offers integral frame and sill units that are British Standard approved. Integral frame units offer a custom appearance and a quick install, slipping easily into an existing wall.

It can also be finished in a wide range of powder-coated colour finishes.
