Trimble Solutions hosts its Annual User Conference, TUD 2019, in Chennai.
Global construction technology leader Trimble hosted its flagship annual event for its Indian customers, Tekla User Days (TUD) India, on May 29-30, at The Leela Palace in Chennai. The theme of TUD 2019 edition was #TrulyConstructible, and it facilitated construction industry professionals to interact, collaborate, learn and showcase their projects to the larger audience, and enabled Trimble to present the latest in construction tech to its customers in India. Giza, a global leader in connection design software joined as a gold sponsor of this two-day event. This year’s TUD had more engagement, many more hands on experiences and an elite panel discussion, justifying the theme of this year – a Truly Constructible event!
All participants went through the top selling features of Tekla Structures’ 2019 version, via some immersive sessions and hands on workshops, along with power packed training sessions where they got a chance to explore the new features with guidance and live support from the Tekla Experts present on-site.
TUD 2019 saw a host of innovative and thrilling programmes, while also providing the chance to the participants to showcase Tekla knowledge and expertise – via Tekla Certification Programme and the first ever Tekla Premier League – a LIVE Constructible BIM match, Tekla Custom Components Competition and Awards, as well as the all new Voice your Tekla Talent, wherein customers showed how they innovatively applied Tekla in their respective work environments.
A special jury evaluated the competing teams on how well they utilised Tekla Structures to deliver excellent outcomes through their
skills and knowledge. The awardees were felicitated at a Gala Dinner and entertainment evening on May 29, 2019.

A key highlight of TUD 2019 Indiawasapanel discussion on the topic: ‘Digital Transformation and its Impact across the Construction Continuum.’ The panellists included construction industry stalwarts like PR Surendhra Babu, Vice President & Head-Digital Engineering, L&T; Charan Kambhampati, Civil & Structural Head, Technip FMC; Steven Burton, Digital Engineering Lead, Project Delivery-UK & Europe, WS Atkins; and Rajan Aiyer, Managing Director, India & SAARC Region, Trimble.
