JCB India launches India’s first dual-fuel CNG backhoe loader

JCB India has launched India’s first dual-fuel CNG backhoe loader. The new JCB 3DX DFi can operate on compressed natural gas and diesel simultaneously, using HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) technology. This results in a substantial drop in particulate emission as well as CO2 emissions. CNG is also cheaper and helps lower the operating costs for the customer. The machine has been developed in India and has been tested in various operating conditions. It will be built at company’s Delhi-NCR factory at Ballabgarh, and also be exported. Based on the 3DX model which is well established in India, it will help customers in remote areas, where CNG refilling is unavailable.
