Growing at a heady pace and constantly expanding its areas of expertise, Technofab Engineering has made its name overseas as well. As of December 2011, 50 per cent of the order book of Rs 1,020 crore came from overseas projects, compared to around 21 per cent as of March 2011.

In its 41 years of operation, Technofab Engineering has developed expertise in comprehensive turnkey projects in liquid waste and effluent treatment, raw and seawater intake systems and pumping stations. The company has emerged as a prominent EPC contractor undertaking turnkey packages relating to low pressure piping systems, fuel oil handling systems, fire protection systems, from its humble beginnings as a piping, valves and pressure vessels fabricator in 1971. The company also specialises in comprehensive electromechanical packages, involving all engineering disciplines. Another area of expertise is to carry out rural electrification works comprising transmission mains and distribution lines, rehabilitation and upgradation of city water and sewage treatment plants in the domestic and international market

Headquartered in Faridabad, Haryana, the company has offices in Ethiopia and Kenya. It is an ISO 9001:2000 accredited company for engineering procurement and construction of engineered systems on complete turnkey basis in core, energy and infrastructure sector projects.

With its diversification to other sectors, the share of the sector in its order book declined to 45 per cent in December 2011 from 60 per cent in March 2008. The company managed this by expanding into industrial infrastructure, water management, oil and gas and electrical works. During 2011-12, Technofab's standalone net sales rose 30.2 percent to Rs 376.27 crore from Rs 289.01 crore in the previous year.
