ACC receives FE-EVI Green Business Leadership Award 2009-10

ACC Ltd was recently conferred with The Financial Express-EVI Green Business Leadership Award 2009-10 for being the ‘Best Performer’ in the Cement category. Sumit Banerjee, Managing Director, ACC Ltd received the award from Dr Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on World Environment Day, June 05, 2010 in New Delhi. RK Pachauri, Director General, TERI and Chairman of Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change, was the Guest of Honour at the award ceremony. The award was based on a survey conducted by Financial Express and Emergent Ventures India (EVI), a company working in the area of climate change, for contribution towards the environment and excellence in the area of green businesses.
