Golden Peacock Awards winners

The Golden Peacock Awards were organised as part of the 14th World Congress on Environment Management in New Delhi on July 8, 2012. The awards, instituted by World Environment Foundation, promote the best strategy and management of environmental issues by organisations. These companies are awarded based on a three-tier assessment process covering an exhaustive set of parameters. Emphasis is on development, management and countrywide awareness of duties of government, corporations, voluntary sector and individuals to maintain ecological balance by minimising adverse environmental impact. This year, the awards were given to Gamesa Wind Turbines in the Occupational Health and Safety category, Lanco Kondapali Power Ltd in the Safety and Environment category, Raheja Developers in the Eco-Innovation category and Tata Housing in the Occupational Health and Safety category.
