Chichem village in Himachal to get road connectivity: CM

In Himachal Pradesh, the highest Chichem village situated at the height of 14,000 feet in Lahaul and Spiti district likely to be linked with the road connectivity soon after commissioning of under construction Chichem bridge as it would join Chichem and Kibber village in Lahaul and Spiti district together.

The State Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh stated this on April 9. Singh said that construction work of Chichem bridge commenced on January 11, 2003 and span of this bridge is 120 meters.

The construction work of this bridge is likely to be completed by October 2014. Kibber village, situated at the height of 13,000 feet is already linked with road but after commissioning of this bridge another remote village Chichim would get the road connectivity, currently both villages are snowbound.
