Ministry to look into feasibility of Airbus 380s

The Union Civil Aviation Ministry is soon to decide on allowing airlines to fly Airbus 380s into the country. The Ministry had scheduled a meeting on the matter on October 23. The notice of the meeting said that issues related to availability of infrastructure at Indian airports to support Airbus 380s operations and similar issues will be discussed. Sources in the Ministry said there are various other issues related to the allowing A380 operations in the country will also be discussed. The issues relates to competition to the carriers in India with foreign carriers bringing in the ultra long-haul aircraft will also be discussed, said Ministry officials.
