Nagaland forms HPC for road works in Dimapur

A High Power Committee (HPC) has been formed by the Nagaland government to study the road system in Dimapur and to draw up Action Plan for works on several roads in the city. The State Roads and Buildings Minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu had stated on August 16 that the government would fully empower the HPC to tackle issues involving these road projects in the city.

In Dimapur, as per the action plan, the following roads would be taken up for development work: Construction of service lane between Purana Bazar and Chumukedima. Widening of road to CIHSR from NH-encroachment matter thereof. Two-laning of road- Green Park to Sovima Cricket Stadium. Two-laning of road to Nagaland Zoological Park. Dismantling of building at the Agri Expo entrance gate. Two-laning of road to Multi-purpose Sports Complex at Dimapur. Two-laning of road from NH to ICSAI (6th Mile).

The State Cabinet had also taken decision in this regard on August 8.
